Don`t get me wrong i do agree to a point and i must admit i only ever use my work within any advertising etc .Yes it is false advertising if the content is used as an example of what they can do ,when really its not .However just like some franchises share content virtually to the letter ,and its proven time and time again not all tech`s are of the same abilities yet the content would have you believe otherwise .These comments are mine so don`t steel them lol lol .

I appreciate the comments but as i do not have the experience to push the forum forward
i would appreciate some guidance on how to achieve this but hopefully in time numbers here
will increase and more quality content will be added

It depends to some extent on who this forum is trying to attract ??

It is generous of Jonathon to donate all the free adverts, but if this is (for the most part) aimed at Smart tecs, I don't yet understand their purpose.
For myself I have limited interest in other tecs adverts.
From that I have to assume that to some extent the site is aimed at the public, in addition to tecs ??

If that is the case, then what meta tags are in place?
If the meta tags are mainly using words like 'Smart repairs' then search engines will find them, but the general public will not.

Just my opinion, but I don't think the general public know what a smart repair is; at least not by that term.

There's no point in fooling ourselves; at this time at least, despite a number of superior options and what I think is a great interface; this forum is very much playing second fiddle to the other one.

Maybe we need to re-identify exactly who are target membership audience are - that's always a good starting point for intentions of activity and growth .

The forum is primarily aimed at techs. Th adverts are more for googles search engine ranking of your site. Google relies heavily on what is called back linking. The adds are back links  ;)

Hi BrainPicker:
You mention a member directory, well something along those lines is close to being complete. In fact it is a full blown website that will be SEO'd for public consuption; as in to attract public clients who have need of members services: PDR; SSR; Valetting; Windscreen etc etc.
It is intended for each member to have what I call a 'dynamic' block add, dynamic in that the public will be able to click on it and be presented with full contact details, contact form 'with picture attachments' etc. Just today I am considering giving each member his / her own full page on the site.
A nationalised theme will be used to present a (potential) national network of smart techs. Front end of site will all visitor to click on their geographic area which will lead to a group of block adds each leading to a members full page complete with submission form etc. In time the geographic location can be set via visitor entering first 3 of their post code etc and the site taking them direct to the members page who is closest and meets the clients service requirements.
Any way, you get the picture. I am open to suggestion for any improvements that members may want to put forward.
Regards to you all.
Jonathan
P.S. Why are you not using the MEDIA GALLERY ???
