Remove Shoutbox

How do i block out / remove / get rid of the shout box!

Every time i open a new page its there (yes this is the point, before you say) but i have to scroll down all the time to see the page properly.
Is there a way i can hide this thing until i want to use it or view it please?

At the side of were it says Shout box there is a little plus - minus sign this will minimise it till you want to use it

I have tried that Mike and it disappears momentarily but then appears again

Sorry sorted it - my pop up blocker was stopping it hide  :D :D :) :)
