insurance work help?
« on: April 22, 2011, 12:45:02 PM »
well hello everyone! not been on for a long time but im back and gonna give this business a try.

was thinking to buy a delta kit and an applied colors kit to get started with.

going to sell my car to change it for a van.

theres lots of small dealers in my area and ive only seen one guy doing windscreen repairs and hes not even on the internet!

i only saw his van by chance!

anyways i wanted to know if anyone knows what the regulations and requirments are for doing any insurance work.

ie . do i have to be vat and company registered?

also could i claim for a windscreen chip repair on customers car insurance or do autoglass have this one tied up?

well. im saving up for my delta kit and should be ordering it and practising with it next month.

ill keep you all up to date on how im getting on,

thanks all and hope everyones busy!  :D :D :D :D :D

An update re:screenman.
I had cause to contact screenman about his contstant canvasing of new members with a view to sales etc. As I explained to him, it is one thing to let people know in your intro posts what services you can offer is on ething, but using this forum as your own persoal sales tool would not be tollerated.
Since this his presence on the forum has diminished. I believe that this only goes to show his true intentions with regards to members of this forum.

Jonathon that is not correct, I have decided to avoid posting as I have found that I am often misunderstood. Yes I do offer training however as you and Andy know I often give time freely to those people who may need help.

The time I have spent on forums over the years would have given me a very poor hourly rate.

Jonathon I have checked all my messages and cannot find one from you about cold calling, funny this is the same thing I was accused of on the other forum and they failed to come up with any evidence, maybe because it is not something I need to do.

I consider your post to be bordering on bad mouthing me, you wonder why I do not frequent forum any more.
