Interesting subject, I first did velour repairs in about 1992 so with a bit of practise I could make a good looking repair, but for sure if it was in a heavy wear area in did not look good for long. Now todays fabrics are not velours so why do smart repair suppliers still sell velour repair kits? I soon drifted over to sewing a new seam in where ever possible, amazing how good you become with a needle and thread with a bit of practise and of course the repair lasted for life. Anything complicated off to the upholsterers with my bit on top, of course.
